Cinco de Mayo Headlining show at Metro Update

Hello Fans and Friends!

It's Rebecca from The Lifeline. I am very happy to say that the band is deep in prep mode for our headlining show at Metro on Saturday, May 5th. As you know, it is Cinco de Mayo, a great night to put on your dancing shoes and spend a night out in this amazing city. We hope that all of you will join us in what's sure to be one big party!

We have plenty of new surprises in store while we continue to evolve. Our last Chicago show included captivating sounds of a harpist. The show on May 5th will include some new arrangments of old songs, new instrumentation, and a couple of new tunes ...and the harp just might make an appearance again as well. The Metro is a great and historic venue. We certainly hope you can be there with us.

To have a little fun, we put this together for you:

Goodbye and Thank You to Q101

We would like to thank Q101 for their years of supporting The Lifeline!!!!

After tonight, Q101 in Chicago will be off the airwaves and exist online as Q101.com. Q101 has meant so much to us and without the station, we would not have had the success we have achieved. We are forever grateful for their support and for being such a great station.
Ryan Manno was the first to spin The Lifeline on a major radio station, which was extremely exciting for us. Ryan Manno became a fan of the band after hearing "Not for Nothing" off of our first full length album, For All Who Triumph, and began playing the song on Crash Test Radio. When Kevin Manno joined his brother on the air, he became a supporter of the band and we were invited in the station multiple times for interviews. After a great response on Crash Test Radio, Chris Payne, host of Local 101, starting playing tracks off the album. Through the years, he has played tracks "Parting is Such Sweet Sorrow", "Mystery", "....And Still They Search", "The Four Rooms", "I-90", "Romeo and Juliet", "Why So Serious?", "Wherever You Go, There You are", and some tracks multiple times. He was, and is to this day, a huge support to the band. In addition, we have invaded the Lava Lamp Love Lounge, played live on the air, have been on the station's morning shows, and been interviewed on the afternoon drive. Besides in-station support, we have played numerous Q101 shows. One of our favorite memories is arriving to play Q101 Block Party and the show being cancelled. Rain had flodded the show area and it was storming. The event was moved to Cubby Bear, Clarissa Jenkins from Sherman and Tingle introduced our band, and we ended up having an amazing time opening for the Sick Puppies and Ludo. We have similar great memories participating in at least a dozen station-sponsored events. All-in-all, the station has done so much for the band and we will be forever grateful for having the support for so long from such a great station! Thank you!!!!!!

Catch the last Local 101 show on Q101.1 FM tonight at 11pm before the station goes off the air!
